The Three Sisters Wilderness is one of those areas we have been anticipating….worth the wait. Once we left Shelter Cove we began the climb towards the lava rock and volcanoes of Central and Northern Oregon.

Day 2, into the wild.

The Volcanic landscape was kindve ridiculous, as were the views as we climbed to elevation.

We camped in a valley below south sister, next to a hypothermic, but peaceful creek.

The following morning

We climbed up into heavy fog and it was a chilly day, but the views continued, this area lacked the initial punch of crater lake, but is my favorite section of Oregon so far.

The weather quickly clouded up and kept around 50 degrees, but it was a great day nontheless.

Heading out to hitch to Bend

We got to a paved road and an 81 year old, former fighter pilot, former pro tennis player named George drove us to bend and gave us a tour. He has been immensely helpful arpund town as everyone in Bend has at every turn. We spent the day today in town and attending the local Beer Festival (sacrifices).
