Mt. Jefferson is no joke, these singular Volcanic mountains are making a big impression. Today we had quite a bit of climbing, alot of smoke, continued plagues of bees and great views. We climbed early, but it was worth it.

Heading out

Again, what a mountain should look like.

After climbing back down, we started ascending towards the Mt. Hood Wilderness…with a stop in Jefferson Park.

Russell Creek was no joke to cross.

Smoke coming in on Jefferson.

Notice the Helicopter, they were everywhere fighting the fires around us.

The smoke made the climb very difficult, we even became dizzy at times and the air tasted like smoke.

Climb all the way up, but all there is to see is smoke.

We climbed way down below 5000 feet and set up camp at the aptly amokey, Cigar Lake. Beautiful day, but hopefully tomorrow will be a bit less Humidor.
