Northern California is the most underrated section on the PCT. We picked up the miles after the snow faded and loved (mostly) every minute of it.
Quick video with some highlights from our 13 days on the CDT prior to heading to the PCT this year. New Mexico is a rugged, wonderful place.
Finally had a chance to put this together, check out some footage from our hike between Kennedy Meadows and South Lake Tahoe. Lots of water and snow, but more smiles and views. This is the hardest section of hiking we’ve ever done and the most rewarding. ...
Watch the thrilling finish to our CDT thru-hike and we traverse the Land of Enchantment, commune with tarantulas, ford rivers and ultimately reach our destination… The dirt and brambles and glory of the Mexican border.
Things go wrong sometimes, plans, weather, etc. We got caught with some early winter, but we picked up another hiker, Scratch, and continued onto the Land of Enchantment.
T-Rex and The Graduate, along with Schweppes, head out of Breckenridge, through Leadville and Twin Lakes and onto Salida. Copious colors and fall awesomeness commence.
